My recommendation when people ask me about shopping for denim is that you can spend a little more on your classic styles of denim, and less on the trendy styles. It just makes financial sense.
Thinking about the cost per wear is important as well. Buying something of lesser quality that will fall apart, stretch out and lose it’s shape or end up with a broken zipper after the first wear is not worth the initial savings!

Here are six of the main denim trends this spring that you’ll be seeing everywhere! We will start with three classic denim styles and then work our way to the more trendy side of the spectrum.
Spring Trend No. 1 - Boyfriend Jeans
Boyfriend jeans are still here! They are a relaxed-fit style of jeans for women. They often have distressed detailing, such as ripped knees and fading. The waist is usually a tiny bit lower than other jeans and the legs are usually wider and more relaxed. Boyfriend jeans are typically paired with casual tops for a stylish and comfortable look. But I think it’s a lot of fun to buck tradition and style it with a blazer or nice sweater or blouse as your top. Another trend with boyfriend jeans is to wear then with heels. But in real life, I wear them with cute sneakers for a playful look.

Every gal should have a pair of Classic straight leg jeans in their closet! Two details that are a fun addition this spring are exposed buttons on the fly as well as unfinished hems. For a classic look, pair them with a crisp white t-shirt, a Dad shirt, or a chambray jacket.
For a casual look, go with a graphic tee, a pastel colored sweater, or a beautiful cardigan.
To dress them up, pair them with a silk blouse, a tailored blazer, or a structured jacket.
